Wychwood area walk Part 1

The walk we took this time was the Wychwood Walk no5 Finstock - Ramsden from the website www.wychwoodproject.org

a 5 mile walk through woodland across fields and through the villages of Finstock and Ramsden.

The weather turned out to be perfect with the sun shining and blue skies but not too warm.

The walk starts off by the school in Finstock but you are quickly off the beaten path and passing through a large set of fields and then into Topples Wood (pics below).

After the woods you end up in the small village of Wilcote passing the large manor house on your right.

The next stop was Ramsden which is a lovely village with the Royal Oak pub that thankfully was open so some chips and pints were had. www.royaloakramsden.com

The next part of the walk was through Ramsden and up mount skippet and circle back round through Finstock back to the car.

I would recommend this walk as its easy going with few hills.
