Burford is situated in north Oxfordshire, twenty miles west of Oxford.
A beautiful old Cotswold town, its High Street sloping from the high Wolds, where you have beautiful views over the open countryside.
There are wonderful side streets to explore and the 15th century parish church of St. John Baptist is magnificent and a sign of bygone riches based on wool.

Walking around Burford trying to dodge the tourists and take photos was a challenge as it was very busy due to the weather being warm and sunny.

I found the church very interesting with very detailed grave stones and some very old graffiti carved into the soft sandstone walls.
