In 2016 while on holiday near Banalmedina in Spain I went to the marina to try and find the USS Willow. She is a genuine paddle steamer that started life in 1925 on the mississippi river, much later in life she was used as an entertainment venue in Spain but the owners went bust and she has sat abandoned since 1998. A google search today has revealed that she is now sinking which is a sad end to a great looking boat. Such a shame that someone has not restored her. I would love to have the money to restore it and live on it. Link to the news item, https://global.fm/news/historic-benalmadena-paddle-steamer-sinking/ Pictures taken by me in 2016,
Burford is situated in north Oxfordshire, twenty miles west of Oxford. A beautiful old Cotswold town, its High Street sloping from the high Wolds, where you have beautiful views over the open countryside. There are wonderful side streets to explore and the 15th century parish church of St. John Baptist is magnificent and a sign of bygone riches based on wool. Walking around Burford trying to dodge the tourists and take photos was a challenge as it was very busy due to the weather being warm and sunny. I found the church very interesting with very detailed grave stones and some very old graffiti carved into the soft sandstone walls. St John the baptist church Tiny doorway with weird old graffiti cut into the stone  Close up of the old graffiti The main door of the church Houses on the hill The old vicarage, Love the decorative stonework Details from around the church ...
