Part 2 of my photowalk of London on the 21st September 2019
My next destination was Millennium Mill in E6, This mill has been derelict for many years and has been the backdrop for many TV series and music videos. The site is huge and currently having enabling work carried out to be converted into office space for startup business's. There will also been approx 3000 apartments built in the grounds.
Details of the project can be found here http://www.rhodar.co.uk/news/video-case-study-asbestos-removal-at-millennium-mills
The visit was made possible by the the open house London event (details here https://openhouselondon.open-city.org.uk/listings/8218 ) where buildings all over London are open for the weekend.
The host for this event was Paul Talling who is an author of many books about derelict London and walking tour guide. His website can be found here https://www.derelictlondon.com/
Was a great visit to the site even with the 15 sets of steps to get to the roof and then having to come back down again, Very tiring but worth it.
Anyway on with the pics
